Common Questions

While some of our clients have experience of franchising, either as franchisee previously or current operators of a franchise business, there are common questions regularly asked; a selection appears below.

Q1 "Is my business franchisable?"  Our answer is that until we carry out an appraisal of your business and create an Overview Report based on research and analysis it is difficult to say; however if you have a proven business model and have a system that can be transferred to others in a simple but effective way then the chances are that your business can be franchised.

Q2 "How much will it cost?" Our answer is that you need to take an idea through the set up stage which includes preparation of documentation, contracts and marketing material usually wont give you much change from £30,000 if you use a consultant. Franology offer a step process with the initial cost of an Overview Report costing around £2,000 and then an option to involve Franology, not only up to launch but more importantly after launch, with ongoing mentoring at roughly half the cost of traditional consultancy options. This cost effective approach provides clients with less risk right at the time when investment is paramount to the decision.

Q3 "How much will my business be worth in the future?" Our answer is that future values are never cast in stone but with a well run franchise that shows growth and potential future expansion there is no reason why your business will not achieve 3-5 times net profit when you decide to exit and reap the rewards from your hard work.

If you have a specific question we woulkd love to have the opportunity of answering it for you.
