After joining Lloyds Bank in the 1980’s as a management trainee, Chris took his financial and commercial acumen and started his first business, a sound production house that proved successful in the radio, audio visual market and record label business. After many years of successful growth a planned sales and exit concluded this chapter in his life.

Appointed CEO of ChemEx International at the tender age of 35 he presided over a period of growth and increased profitability for a number of years. During this time he became a regular contributor to the press and bfa events, fine tuning his skills and expertise.

Chris also adopted a dual role for the Victoria Group as Group Sales Director overseeing dramatic changes whilst responsible for over 200 staff and franchisees. Exiting the group after nine years, he then began to work with other UK franchise brands, assisting the owners in increasing network size and marketing activity to great effect.

During this time he re-launched a number of brands such as Castle Estates, Calbarrie and as Vice President of Signarama delivered many changes for the global player. Most of these appointments were on an interim basis with a specific project brief, including a number of new start-up concepts.

From the rounded experience gained he set up Chris Gibson Consulting and developed a client base in and out of franchising, providing affordable advice for new and existing businesses.

With experience in defence, retail, manufacturing and security gained over the last few years the consultancy has grown from strength to strength with the creation of Franology Limited in 2009 as a separate arm.

Specialist advice in the medical industry with clients in Harley Street and throughout the country is further evidence of his adaptability to almost any market, using proven methods and management skills to deliver concise advice that allows stakeholders to make informed choices.
